HR Assistant
Northampton - Up to £25,000
Permanent
£20000 to £25000 per annum
The HR Assistant will be responsible for the effective and efficient administration of core activities for the European Human Resources Department. This will include competent administration relating to HR areas such as Recruitment, New Starters, Leavers, Compensation & Benefits, and Payroll, as well as general assistance, including filing, and some ad hoc project administration.
How you’ll do it
• EMEA Payroll: Taking responsibility for the complete end to end processing of all EMEA payrolls. Identify areas of improvement and maintain relationships with third party provider. Ensure 100% accuracy across all regions.
• Support: Responsible in supporting the HR Team on all administrative tasks, to include starters, leavers, recruitment, benefits etc to provide seamless HR support.
• Database Updates: Ensure all HR databases are up to date.
• Employee Relations: Effectively manage maternity and long term sickness with HR Business Partners. Supporting the HR Business Partners in the management of disciplinary and performance management.
• Legal: In order that our clients HR function and staff management is of a consistently high standard and in line with employment law by ensuring all opportunities are met with constructive seamless solutions, taking into consideration speed, cost and flexibility as well as ensuring that all initiatives are forward thinking, minimise risk and taken in line with Employment local Employment Law. Proactively keeping abreast of any legislative changes.
• Project work: Supporting HR Business Partners with Projects.
• Reporting: Responsible for preparation and improvements of daily and monthly HR Reporting Pack.
• Training & Development: Working with the HR Business Partners to identify and consolidate training needs. Negotiating with external training providers to ensure training needs are met. Ensure all promotions are correctly processed.
What you’ll need
• Degree Level or equivalent.
• CIPD full or part qualified advantageous.
• 3+ years’ experience in a similar role
• Strong MS Office Suite. Experience using HR systems. Strong administration, prioritisation, and time management skills. Experience of working in a European Head Office environment would be advantageous.
• The importance of Data Protection and Confidentiality, commercially minded with strong business acumen.
• Excellent understanding of Employment legislation.
• Proactive and hands on approach
• Ability to work independently
• Flexible approach and problem solving skills
