They are looking for someone with the ability and confidence to speak to senior people, to challenge, to recommend improvements (either business or process improvements), to deal with people who have very strong personalities and who will try to take up a lot of your time.
Job Purpose
- To support the development of a flexible, professional, highly skilled commercial support team which will provide Group Purchasing with the necessary commercial analysis to manage categories, suppliers and income.
- To maximise the efficiency of this output through constant process improvement.
Job Accountabilities
Objectives of Commercial Support:
• To effectively manage, involve and develop our people through training and development programs, internal promotions, effective leadership and strong communication.
• To develop and maintain a suite of Buying Reports to assist the negotiation process evaluating commercial proposals thereby support effective decision making by the Buyers.
• In accordance with the company Pricing Policy report on market and competitor pricing, communicate price changes to the business and maintain strategic key customer pricing.
• To develop and maintain a single system to forecast, monitor and accurately track streams of Buying Income relative to budgets.
Knowledge/Skills/Experience
• Excellent analytical skills including financial analysis.
• Proven ability to contribute and implement ideas for continuous improvement.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office especially Excel and Access.
• Ability to present data succinctly and with conviction.
• Ability to prioritise and manage workloads.
• Project Management skills.
