Supply Planning Manager

What you'll do
Reporting into the Head of Demand & Supply Planning, as the functional expert this role is responsible for providing the leadership, coaching and improvement plans to deliver excellent Supply Planning results to the business.
Responsible for managing the Supply planning process, systems and people to deliver a Supply plan to a forecast, targeted level of Inventory, Service and assist in managing cost to the business.
How you'll do it
" Inventory Management - Develop and drive an accurate Inventory plan for the business to support the market demand needs whilst working to business Inventory / Service level targets.
" Inventory Health - Focus the Business Unit's on the key problem areas driving out of plan inventory costs and work with them on excess clearance solutions.
" Inventory Optimization - Effectively utilize our Planning tool to develop differentiated safety stock policies by product characteristic for both NPI launches and run rate products.
" Open to Buy Process - Ensure that our purchase order spend is controlled effectively, enabling fast and effective decision making on our spends.
" Support for the Sales & Operations Planning Process - Build a future plan that enables fulfilment of the long term market demand plan through proactive capacity planning with the Global team and Vendor base. Deliver a monthly constrained supply plan highlighting key risks and plans to mitigate.
" Provide regular Air Freight outlook spends to the business - Recommend airfreight spend where appropriate and manage the approval process.
" Strategic customer focus - deliver the appropriate support for our key customers as required enabling their service level expectations to be achieved.
" Product Life Cycle Management - actively manage the life cycle of our products ensuring maximum benefits accrued from cost down reductions, and that products are effectively moved to end of life with limited liabilities.
" Identify opportunities to improve Inventory and Service Level KPIs, implement improvement plans, and ensure visibility of performance to the business.
" Identify / Support opportunities to improve the Supply Chain processes and systems. Work with local and global colleagues to deliver improvements.
" Manage performance reviews and development plans of the Supply planners to enable key skills and competencies to be accurately assessed, benchmarked and developed.
What you'll need
" Experience of working in a fast paced, global organisation, preferably from an FMCG environment.
" A proactive approach with significant and proven experience of working with a large number of SKUs and long lead times.
" Strong people management skills.
